  • How is OnSiteMonitor different from other systems or services?
  • The value add for OnSiteMonitor is that you can use one portal for all your devices. This also means that you can create alerts through the same, single portal. You are free to add any supported product to your system. You can grow your system at any time as you see fit. Nothing in OnSiteMonitor prevents you from utilizing features and functions provided by each manufacturer's product.

  • Can custom messages be sent via alerts?
  • Yes, custom text messages can be sent for SMS, Email, and Voice alerts.

  • Can camera motion be detected?
  • Yes, OnSiteMonitor can detect motion from any suppored camera. The percent level of change can be set for each camera. This option does not interfere with feature available by the camera's manufacturer.

  • What equipment is required?
  • Standard Edition: With this option, you supply the computer for the OnSiteMonitor software application and the devices. Some devices are stand-alone. You just purchase the device and install it, i.e. cameras. Other devices may the require the use of a "hub". Hubs are vendor specific devices that communicate to one or more local devices. They are typically added to your home WiFi network which allows the device status to be uploaded to the vendor's cloud instance.

    Online Services: When you use one of the available OnSiteMonitor Services, the only hardware you need are the devices themselves. We will work with you to get your devices added and configured into OnSiteMonitor. We are responsible for scanning each device, reporting the status via the web portal, and communicating alerts as they occur.

  • How can I find out when someone is at my door when I am not at home?
  • A motion detection device or camera can be installed and allow you to be notified when someone rings your door bell. A camera can also be used to detect motion at your front door. Whether you use a motion sensor or camera, email and phone alerts can be used to inform you.

  • How to I access my home from my smart phone?
  • You have access to your home’s automation and security devices at any time via a web browser. Simply bookmark the login page on your phone. When you need to check the status of say, your thermostat, just log in and take a look.

  • How many devices can I add?
  • There is currently no limit to the number of devices you can add.
